My experiences have taught me the value both of subjective interpretations of cross-cultural differences, and rigorous empirical analysis of economic and business systems.
R. Don Keysser, Ph.D.
Senior Director – Market Intelligence
I was born in Hannover, Germany. As a child my mother and I emigrated to the U.S. leaving behind a Displaced Persons camp in war-torn Germany for the promised land – the beginning of my international experiences. Over the years, I became a U.S. citizen, grew organic peaches in a commune, served in the military as an intelligence analyst and moved to Minnesota for graduate school. I earned two Master’s Degrees, a Ph.D. and raised two sons. For over 35 years I have served as an investment banker and business finance consultant.
I have had the pleasure of traveling extensively, mostly throughout Europe, but also throughout Latin America, Canada and 48 of the 50 States. My long career as an investment banker has brought me into contact with a wide range of cultures and industry sectors and my academic training, especially for my doctorate degree, has taught me much about the importance of carefully researched, precisely worded, and objective research; I have a passion and fascination for well-reasoned analysis. I carry that view into my position as a part-time Associate Professor of Corporate Finance in the MBA programs at two major universities.
My international experiences have included lecturing overseas at conferences, working on financing projects in multiple countries, serving on the Board of Directors of the German-American Chamber of Commerce and participating in study tours in Europe. These experiences have taught me the value both of subjective interpretations of cross-cultural differences and rigorous empirical analysis of economic and business systems.
From this life basis, I am committed to the providing the highest level of professional analytical services as part of the Allume Global Intelligence team.
